There are many different types of cancer that affect dogs and cats, especially older ones. Certain breeds of cats or dogs are more susceptible to different kinds of cancer than others. Some very common types of cancer that affect dogs are lymphoma, histiocytic sarcoma ,and osteosarcoma. Some common types of cancer in the cat are leukemia, lymphosarcoma, and abdominal cancer.
