Pseudorabies

Pseudorabies is a disease caused by a virus that mostly affects pigs. It may, however (although rarely), infect dogs or cattle. The virus is airborne and can spread up to two miles, or even spread by peoples' shoes or car tires. Pseudorabies has many symptoms including fever, stillbirths, coughing, and many others. It is important that you get your pig tested for this disease because even though your pig may not be showing any symptoms, he may still be carrier, causing the spread of more disease.
