Exotic cats are any cat that is the domestic cat, such as the bobcat, mountain lion, African Serval, or other large cat that is maintained in captivity. These cats are vaccinated with the core vaccines used for domestic cats.
Controversial Issue
Typically FPRC used by veterinarians for these cats are modified live vaccine, the same that is used in domestic cats. However, while veterinarians have found these vaccines to be safe, there are some individuals that have argued that only killed vaccine should be used in these cats. While I have used modified live vaccine in exotic cats for thirty years and am perfectly comfortable with the modified live vaccine, if you are not, I am glad to order the killed vaccine for your cat.
