Hi, my name is Doti and I am Dr. Loden and Dr. Conrad’s assistant here at Cornerstone Animal Hospital. Growing up on a farm in Missouri, I learned the values of hard work and to value other people’s hard work as well. Also, growing up on a farm allowed me to develop a life-long love for animals. On the farm, we always had dogs and cats in addition to our cattle, horses, pigs, and chickens. I learned that you had to take good care of your animals if you wanted them to live healthy lives.
Throughout my childhood, I was very involved in 4-H where I served as president of my chapter. Once I got to high school, I was finnaly able to become a member of FFA, where I served as secretary of our chapter. During high school, I won many awards in FFA including the GreenHand Award. Being a member of FFA allowed me to be a member of the 2001 State Dairy Judging Team where I got to go to the National Convention to compete. Besides receiving FFA awards for judging Dairy Cattle, I received second place at the Louisville Dairy Judging in 2001 and received ninth place in 2002. That same year, I also earned a spot on the All-American Team at the World Dairy Expo in Madison, Wisconsin.
I got my first horse - a black Welch Pony named Ginger - when I was seven. After that, I became hooked on horses. I still have a horse to this day and don't plan on ever going with out one. Right now my animals consist of
-
Amira, a blood bay Arabian mare who is quite possibly the love of my life
-
Strykr, a 5 year old Rat Terrier who keeps my fields free of mice, possums, and moles
-
Ali, a young Bernese Mountain Dog who helps Strykr and goes with me everywhere that she can
-
Duchess, a calico kitten who has complete run of the house
-
Dipstick, a black and white kitty who rules the roost outside
I love working with Dr. Loden and Dr. Conrad here at Cornerstone Animal Hospital, and I also love working with our clients and their special pets!
